Abduct your guests to the classic world of wines and spoil them with your competent advice.
Fulltime course in two parts, one week each
There is an extremely high demand for wine connoisseurs in gastronomy and trade. Guests and customers are demanding and expect more of service and consultation. Basic knowledge and a friendly consultant are the key to happiness. Professionals get to know what makes a good wine and how to recognize it, and what the conditions for winegrowing are. You will also learn how to storage what wine and what happens to it while storageing. Basics worth knowing, practical tips and vivid examples interchange with a lively and interactive atmoshere and lots of tasty wines. This is how you can train your sensitivity, your articulateness and judgement, and you will have lots of opportunities to experience tasty and surprising facts. What can you learn from the labels on bottles? How to choose the right wine for the right event? How to organise winetastings?
Target group for this course
Restaurant specialists, hotel specialist and other staff with work experience in gastronomy who would like gain some practical knowledge and skills in the field of wine.
Certificate of the University of Cooperative Education Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (BA)
With this you will prepare for the examination at the University of Cooperative Education (BA) Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - University of Cooperative Education. You will take a practical and a language examination at the examination board in charge. After successfully completing the examination you will receive a certificate which entitles you to use the designation "Certified Cook for nursing homes. This certificate documents your special competence in the examined subjects.
Instructors
Besides, Lajos Orban, who is the responsible course facilitator, our experienced sommeliers and restaurant specialist will conduct the seminars.
Contents and Requirements
Scope of the course
80 lessons theory and practice
Each part of the course within one week, full time from Mondays to Fridays from 08:00 to 15:15

International wines, water, bread and sound course material.
Certificate
Each participant will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Sommelier and Wine School Rostock.
After the course there will be an (optional) examination at the University of Cooperative Education (BA) Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It will consist of a written test of 45 minutes and a 20-minute practical part. Upon successful completion the BAMV will award you with the title

Eligibility
Education bonus voucher: 50% financial support of up to 500 € - the HWBR is a state-approved information centre for the Education bonus cheque.
