New special courses for cruise service staff

„Safety training and vessel sanitation“. The two parts of the course, which can be booked separately, prepare the participants for their future jobs on board of a cruise ship or a river cruise ship. During the first four-day part you will complete the mandatory safety training in acc. with STCW95 directly at the public seafarers' school Lübeck. In the three-day part directly following that at the HWBR Hotel School in Rostock you will complete the Vessel Sanitation Program VSP, which focuses on all relevant health and hygiene regulations acc. to US-Public Health and HACCP. The VSP is directly based on the US American training programmes for cruise staff. With this joint course offer "Lübeck-Rostock“ the two training providers link their professional competences, especially for the cruise industry at the highest level for the first time.

For service staff with German labour contracts there is the chance for financial support via the Federal Education bonus, which funds 50% of the course fee per participant. Upon application the Employment agency can take over the complete course fee. You can also benefit from these funding opportunities when booking the successfully implemented courses for the kitchen and service areas, housekeeping and the bar. The HWBR is a state-approved information centre for the education bonus, so that a personal consultation can be closed with the issue of one of the desired cheques.
